These are self-portraits I posted on my Instagram account. They belong here because they are not private images hidden away from the internet: they are visible traces of my identity.
Art is my main form of expression. Through these paintings, I externalize feelings that are difficult to explain directly: existential dread, pessimism, emotional exhaustion, and the sensation of carrying pain that does not belong only to me.
Each portrait expresses dread in a different situation, through a different version of the self. Together, they show how someone could understand part of who I am simply by looking at what I choose to create and share online.
